Introducing Others
In the English Class/ Lab, students are not only encouraged to practice introducing themselves but also are motivated to learn to introduce others, such as their friends, family members, teachers, neighbours, relatives, classmates or colleagues.
This activity is designed to help students in developing communication skills, observation, and presentation abilities. It encourages them to identify/ notice important personal and professional details about someone else and present them clearly to an audience.
Key Contents:
When introducing someone, students can include the following points:

Greetings: Start with a polite greeting to the audience (e.g., Good morning, everyone!).

Presenter's Name and the Purpose Statement: Express happiness in introducing the person (e.g., I am Virat and I am happy to introduce…).

Name: Mention the name of the person.

Place: Where they are from or currently live.

Current Designation/Role: Their job, profession, or position.

Educational Background: What they studied, degrees or specializations.

Likes and Interests: Hobbies, Likes and Dislikes, favorite activities, or passions.

Personality Traits: Key characteristics or qualities (e.g., friendly, hardworking, creative).

Goals and Dreams: What the person aspires to achieve in the future.

Role Models or Inspirations: People who inspire them.

Something You really admire in them: Mention anything interesting/ positive you like in them.
One Interesting Character Trait you want to take from them: Mention any trait in them that you really wish you have in you.
Wishing the Best: Now that you know about their dreams wish all the best.
Closing Remark: A polite way to conclude (e.g., Thank you for the opportunity /and Please join me in welcoming…).
Tips for Students:

Focus on unique traits or achievements of the person being introduced.

Maintain eye contact and confidence while speaking.
This makes the activity productive because students practice observation, comprehension, and clear verbal expression while learning to present someone else confidently.
